At BakerRisk Europe Mr. Easton has taken an active role growing BakerRisk Functional Safety offering, including Functional Safety Assessments, Functional Safety training and SIS lifecycle implementation for our clients.

At ProSalus Limited, Mr. Easton took a leading role in providing Functional Safety consultancy using IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 for major international clients. He conducted Functional Safety Assessments (Stages 1-5), Functional Safety Management and Lifecycle implementation support (developing SRSs, FSMPs, Operating Procedures, Proof Test Procedures, SIS Validation Procedures), HAZOP/LOPA facilitation, Fire and Gas Detection System SIL capability assessments, Functional Safety verification for onshore and offshore projects. Notable projects include working with clients like Shell, BP, Aker Solutions, Johnson Matthey, NuFarm, Gassco, PX Limited, Anglo-American, Energean, and Syngenta, where he provided technical leadership on Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) lifecycle management.

As the Managing Director of ProSalus Ltd, he oversaw day-to-day operations, managing a team of consultants, ensuring high-quality technical delivery, and coordinating business objectives. Under his leadership, the company has consistently met client expectations while promoting professional development and growth within the team.

Ben’s experience extends beyond consultancy, having worked on projects for large organizations like BAES Marine Ltd., where he led the production of the Safety Cases for Munitions and Explosives (MOME), and developed System Safety requirements in compliance with DEFSTAN and JSP standards.

Additionally, he has worked on significant safety reviews and gap analyses for companies like Shell, Gassco, and Total Bitumen, improving the functional safety management systems for high-risk industrial facilities.
