Biography

Raunak is a highly experienced risk and safety consultant with approximately 15 years in the oil & gas industry, complemented by expertise in renewables (solar, wind, hydrogen), conventional power, water treatment and rail.

He began his career as an Instrument & Control Engineer at Mott MacDonald in Abu Dhabi and later served as a consultant at DNV Singapore. During his tenure at DNV, he contributed to the development of major hazard regulations for Brunei, led the Safety Case for Singapore’s first LNG terminal, and conducted audits for the Energy Market Authority and EIDPMO. He also facilitated Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) workshops, performed Risk-Based Inspections (RBI) and control system validation, and developed performance standards for offshore facilities.

Currently at Risktec, Raunak specializes in Safety and Asset Risk Management, with extensive experience in Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) studies, Process Safety Management, and Asset Integrity Management System audits and gap analyses. He has worked with major clients including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, Shell, ACWA Power, SWPC, Plug Power, PetroChina, Dubai Petroleum, Dragon Oil, and Doha Metro. With strong project management skills, he has successfully led multiple large-scale projects.

Raunak holds a distinction degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and a Master of Science in System Design Management from the National University of Singapore.
